August is quickly coming to an end, and we will soon enter the month of September where there is the dreaded one week school holiday from 2 to 10 September. You would probably want your child to study for the upcoming year-end examinations, but surely, there will be days where he or she needs a break! Spend quality time with your child in September with the below exciting events.
1. Sowing Room Pop-Up / Picnic Day at Plain Vanilla
Plain Vanilla is popular for sure! For those who are not aware, Plain Vanilla sells the most amazing cupcakes that you can ever have, and you really should try some if you are heading for this event. Sowing Room is a social enterprise that helps women who had been abused and those at risk. They teach these women sewing skills and pay them fair wages for their wares. In return, Sowing Room sells these at charity runs (such as this one) to raise money for these women. It is a great opportunity to teach your child compassion with the stories of these women. At the same time, it is a good way to bond over cupcakes! If you and your child have stories about abuse, it is a good chance to connect with the people at Sowing Room too.
